As part of our Community Reinvestment effort, Sugar Pine principally serves as a turnkey developer and rehabilitates existing multi-family housing complexes in order to preserve affordable housing across the country. Our mission is to address the growing affordable housing crisis by implementing creative and innovative solutions, as well as leveraging a variety of financing tools.
Sugar Pine Development, LLC’s portfolio includes properties developed or rehabilitated under several key U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs. We focus on regions with acute housing needs. In the Midwest we are revitalizing aging housing stock and supporting workforce housing, In the South we are addressing the urban housing gaps with long-term sustainable responsive solutions and in California we are tackling one of the nation’s most severe affordability crises through preservation and innovations. Our commitment to affordable housing has led us to successfully complete nearly 100 projects, totaling over $1 billion in development costs.
Our success is rooted in collaboration with key local strategic partners and stakeholders to provide safe and high-quality living spaces for low-to-moderate income families across the nation. We partner with faith-based organizations to align housing with community values and with non-profits to ensure wraparound services and long-term resident support. Additionally, we engage local governments and housing authorities to align with regional housing goals.
